Position Summary
We are hiring a Reliability Engineer with at least 10 years of experience to work in our Operations team. This position reports to Director -BioGas Operations and Delivery will work remotely from home, with travel to operating facilities nationwide, estimated 50%.
This position is responsible for providing centralized fleet reliability leadership to improve equipment availability, maintenance effectiveness, operational risk management, outage execution, and long-term asset reliability across the Biogas fleet. The Reliability Engineer serves as the technical owner of fleet reliability programs, including mechanical integrity, unplanned event reduction, root cause failure analysis, predictive maintenance, critical equipment management, and reliability-related management systems. This position works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Controls to improve equipment performance, reduce production losses, and sustain Operational Excellence across the fleet.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead fleet reliability and asset performance improvement initiatives.
- Own unplanned event reduction and production loss elimination programs.
- Lead root cause analyses and corrective action implementation efforts.
- Develop preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
- Establish mechanical integrity standards for critical operating assets.
- Develop equipment criticality rankings and spare parts strategies.
- Monitor equipment health through fleet reliability review processes.
- Lead outage planning, execution support, and performance reviews.
- Support risk management, PHA, MOC, and alarm programs.
- Develop reliability metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting systems.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited program. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of demonstrated industrial reliability engineering experience preferred in RNG, Industrial oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, or comparable industrial experience.
- Strong industrial reliability engineering capability
- Demonstrated experience supporting rotating and fixed equipment across multiple facilities managing flammable gases.
- Ability to support both mechanical troubleshooting and long-term reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work directly with operations and maintenance personnel at operating facilities.
- Ability to travel up to 50% travel expected – varies based on fleet demands.
- Ability to support all RNG and renewable power facilities across the fleet.
Work Hours and Arrangements
Standard Monday - Friday, first shift (exempt position); must be available for after-hours/weekend calls as business needs demand. Ability to travel 50%.

Pay
The range for this role is anticipated to be $150,000 - $170,000 annually with bonus for eligible positions. Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting. The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market / business considerations, and geographic location.
