Position Summary

We are hiring for a Construction Field Project Superintendent with at least 3 years of experience to work in our Construction department. This position reports to a Construction Manager and oversees the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion. This position is a remote position (can live anywhere in the United States) with a 75% travel requirement to construction sites. The duties of a construction field superintendent will vary day-to-day, however, they can expect to be responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, hands-on construction trade installation, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site. These positions are for our rapidly expanding Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) business.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Construction Field Superintendents spend 70% of their day on site (30% administrative duties).
  • Review project drawings for constructability and material take-off.
  • Material ordering on JIT basis for anticipated permits.
  • Creating Project Schedule and Budget.
  • Solicit and Review vendor and sub-contractor quotes for approval of purchase orders.
  • Customer contact, introduction, communication of overall project schedule and daily/weekly activities.
  • You will be responsible to travel to each project: 12 days on, 2 days off basis throughout construction (typical project is approximately 2 - 4 months in duration).
  • This is a ‘working superintendent’ position (4-6 hours per day performing trade activities).
  • Hands-on installation of stainless-steel tubing and carbon steel pipe systems.
  • Must be able to manage and train technicians.
  • Operate forklift, scissor lift, man lift, petty-bone, and the like of medium duty equipment.
  • OSHA 30-hour class maintenance and daily/weekly safety meetings.

Qualifications and Skills
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Foreman or Superintendent in a similar field.
  • Minimum eight years of electrical/mechanical experience.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and workflow simultaneously.
  • OSHA Standards expertise.
  • Budget Management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact and communicate with coworkers and customer onsite contact.
  • Must be proactive, organized and proficient in supervising and motivating teams.
  • MUST be able to travel extensively (up to 75%).
  • Work Hours and Arrangements: Remote with frequent travel up to 75%

Pay
The range for this role is anticipated to be  $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year annually with bonus for eligible positions. Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.  The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market / business considerations, and geographic location.
